I have found building a religious site to be the most difficult. Finding the right tone has a lot to do with the church or non profit. I have shied away from this clientele but have recently found that what I consider over the top with spinning crosses, in the correct context can become very meaningful. Not just for the client but for the target audience so having a graveyard with a church and gloomy sky is reflective of the mood of the audience. A close friend is now going through a phone vigil for a family member and this particular scene I described with the foreground of a gentle outreach for counsel in these times of pain is then a comfort.
I would say having plenty of material, easily found here and listening to what the church is trying to convey can be very rewarding when using what might seem awkward footage to begin with.
